Can You Recycle LEGO® Bricks?

Not in your curbside bin. Most LEGO bricks are made from ABS — a tough, durable plastic that's what makes them last for decades, and also what makes them nearly impossible for standard recycling centers to process. Tossed bricks usually end up in a landfill.

The good news: bricks don't need to be recycled to stay out of the trash. Because they last generations, the greenest thing you can do is keep them in play — pass them to a new home where kids will actually build with them. Selling your bricks does exactly that, and pays you for the favor.

What Can You Send?

If it's genuine loose LEGO®, we want it. A quick check before you box up:

Yes, send these

  • Loose, genuine LEGO® bricks
  • Minifigures and accessories
  • LEGO® Technic pieces
  • Mixed, unsorted bins — exactly as they are

Please leave these out

  • Duplo bricks
  • Off-brand blocks (Mega Bloks, etc.)
  • Electronics, batteries, or motors
  • Instructions, boxes, and packaging

Not sure about something? Check the FAQ or email us — we're happy to help.

Why Do We Buy Old LEGO® Bricks?

Because every brick gathering dust in an attic is a brick some kid would love to build with. We clean, sort, and pass your bricks on to new builders — families, collectors, and classrooms — so they get played with instead of thrown away.

You declutter, you get paid, and a toy built to last generations actually gets to last generations. Everybody wins.
